Ashley and Cedric built Astro Home and Carpet Cleaning in 2022 with a simple idea: clean homes the way you’d want your own cleaned — thoroughly, reliably, and by people who actually care about the result. Today, Ashley and Cedric continue to serve homes in Moyock and the surrounding communities.
Built by Hand, One Home at a Time
Ashley grew up in a military family. Moving frequently meant learning what a truly clean home looks like — and what it means for a family to feel settled and at ease in their space. When Ashley and Cedric moved to Moyock and started looking for a cleaning service they could actually trust, they kept coming up short. Unreliable. Inconsistent. A different person every time.
So they built the service they couldn’t find. Astro Home and Carpet Cleaning launched in 2022 with Ashley and Cedric doing every clean themselves — which is still exactly how it works today. No subcontractors, no rotating staff, no strangers you haven’t met before. The same two people, the same standard, every single visit.
Astro is a Moyock-based, family-owned cleaning business. We value the neighbors who recommend our work to friends and family.
Named Moyock’s Best of 2025 by BusinessRate based on verified client reviews. We’re proud of this recognition and more proud of the clients whose honest feedback earned it.
We clean every home like it’s our own — because we built this business in our own community, for our own neighbors. That’s not a marketing line. That’s just the only way we know how to do it.
Why Ashley Takes Cleanliness Personally
Growing up in a military family means growing up with a standard. Inspections are real. Move-outs are judged. A clean home isn’t a luxury — it’s a baseline that military families are held to in ways most people never experience.
Ashley brings that standard to every home she cleans. When a military family calls Astro for a PCS move-out clean, they’re talking to someone who grew up understanding exactly what that clean has to pass — and who takes it personally when it does.
Hampton Roads and the Outer Banks are some of the most military-dense communities in America. Serving those families well isn’t just good business. It’s personal.
The Values Behind Every Clean
Thorough or Not at All
We don’t do the parts that show and skip the corners. If it’s on the scope, it gets done fully — baseboards, ceiling fans, the back of the toilet. The things that show up close, not just from across the room.
The Same People, Every Time
You shouldn’t have to explain your home to someone new on every visit. Ashley and Cedric learn your space, your preferences, and your standards. Consistency isn’t a bonus feature — it’s the whole point.
Honest, Always
If same-day doesn’t fit today, we’ll say so. If a stain is permanent, we’ll tell you before we charge you. If the scope needs to change, you’ll know before we do anything. No surprises, no games.
Community First
Astro was built in Moyock, for Moyock’s neighbors. Every new client who finds us through a referral from someone we already serve is proof that doing the work right is the only marketing that matters.
